I Want to Change Default Search Engine Setting of Mozilla Browser

Generally Mozilla Firefox internet browser set Google as default search engine. When you install any toolbar, the software also makes some changesĀ  in your Firefox settings. If this is happen with you, no problem here is a solution for that. You can set your default search engine in Mozilla Firefox browser your self with below given steps so carefully follow the steps.

Step 1 : Open blank Firefox browser.

Step 2 : Type “about:config” in the address bar of Mozilla Firefox and press enter.

Step 3 :
Where you find a message for doing this carefully, press OK.

Step 3 : Now you get all configurations here. In first raw is filter. filter write down in this box “keyword.url” and press enter.

Step 4 :
Now you can find here a value column and URL under the value. Double click on url or right click >> modify the URL. Now open the edit box of url for change your search engine URL. Paste this URL in this box for Google as a default search engine in your Firefox browser : “http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&q=” now press ok for change the setting.

Near the address bar of Firefox, given second filter search bar. Click on that and go in manage search engine option, move the Google on top. Restart Firefox and when your browser comes back up you will see that Google as your default search engine. You can use your address bar just as Google search bar and enjoy your favorite search engine Google as default search engine.
