Indian cricket team is on tour of Sri Lanka. After the three test matches between host country Sri Lanka and India, New Zealand will join for a ODI tri-series. The triangular series will be started from 10th August, 2010 with its first match between India and New Zealand in Sri Lanka. Micromax Mobile is a main sponsor of this cricket tournament. From the Indian side, Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan Singh have all been rested for the Micromax tri-series and Yuvraj Singh makes a return to the 15-man squad after who was dropped from the Asia Cup 2010 because of his fitness and form. New Zealand side, The national selector have appointed Ross Taylor as a captain of New Zealand team because Daniel Vettori who is awaiting the birth of his second child. The selectors have also appointed Kyle Mills as a vice captain.

Congratulation to Indian cricket hero Sachin Tendulkar for his another great achievement of double century just in 147 balls in One-Day International (ODI) against South Africa today at Gwalior in India.
Tendulkar played a record-breaking innings  at Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior on Wednesday. Sachin made the world record of the highest runs in ODI by unbeaten 200 runs with 25 fours and three sixes in 147 balls against South African team. He crossed the records of Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar (194 runs) and Zimbabwe’s Charles Coventry (194* runs). Cricket fans feel that the match is not ODI, it is a twenty20 match.

Former Indian Premier Leauge (IPL) Champion Rajasthan Royals launched a new theme song video Halla Bol for the 2010 Edition of the IPL season 3 by Owner of Rajasthan Royals Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty on last Wednesday . The Music video Halla Bol shows the animated mascot named “Moochu Singh” with a big mustache.
This theme video directed by Ken Ghosh and music given by Anand Raj Anand when choreographed by Ahmed Khan. The all music video was shot in Jaipur. A lion with big mustache (Moochu Singh) is mascot of Rajasthan Royals for this IPL season.  Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra have a lots of expectation from the team and Shane Warn, the captain of the team.

Indian cricket team is  on number 1 position in ICC Test Match ranking. Recently India won the test series against Bangladesh with 2-0. Now South African cricket team is coming to India to play a series of 2 test matches and 3 ODI matches in February – March 2010.

India will play to keep its number one test team position. But some bad news are also for Indian team because some important players like Sreesanth, Dravid and Yuvraj are injured during Bangladesh tour.

Indian team has been announced for test series against South Africa. Two new faces included in the Indian squad. Fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun from Karnataka and wicket keeper Wriddhiman Saha from West Bengal.

IPL (Indian Premier League) fans are happy now, because IPL seasons 3 will come back in India. IPL tournament 2010 will start on 12 March 2010 and ends on 25 April 2010. The format of the tournament will be same as per last. Total 60 matches will be played with final of the tournament. Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Nagpur and Vishakapatnam have been added as new venues.

First match of ICC Champions Trophy 2009 tournament Srilanka won by 55 runs (D/L) in rain-hit game at Super Sport Park, Centurion. Sri Lanka given the big target of 320 runs to South Africa. Graeme Smith captain of South Africa won the toss and elected to filed first considering the dew factor.

Sri Lanka team played very well against No.1 ranked team South Africa. Sri Lankan side great performance given by Dilshan 106 runs, Jayawardene 77 runs and Sangakkara 54 runs. When in bowling side Ajantha Mendis bowled superbly and got 3 wickets for 30 runs in his 7 overs.

Indian cricket team played very well against Sri Lanka in Compaq Cup Tri-Series 2009 final match at Colombo in Sri Lanka. Specially world’s greatest Indian player Sachin Tendulkar. Master blaster Sachin done his 44th ODI century at the R. Premdasa Stadium. India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss elected to bat first. Rahul Dravid opened innings with Sachin. Sachin added runs after runs to the Indian score total and Indian team set the target of 320 runs against Sri Lanka. Sachin scored 138 runs off 133 balls. Yuvraj Singh scored 56 runs in just 41 balls, When Indian captain M. S. Dhoni done 56 runs in 62 balls. Two wickets taken by Thilan Thushara from Sri Lankan side.
