After IPL, Once again a big Twenty20 cricket tournament is going to start in South Africa which is known as Airtel Champions League T20 – 2010 or CLT20. The tournament will be started on 10th September, 2010 in Johannesburg, SA. The First match will be played between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions, and final match will be played on 26th September, 2010. Total ten teams from six countries will be participated in Airtel Champions League T20 (CLT20). All the teams are divided in the two groups A and B. Total 23 matches will be played during the tournament at four different venues. The top two teams will be decided from each group after group matches and they will play semi final to qualify for final match. Tickets are available at Computicket and have been divided into two price categories, with grandstand and general admission sections. India has choose the three top teams from Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament 2010 and the teams are Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The Tri series in Sri Lanka 2010 has been started with first match India Vs New Zealand as per the schedule. Total seven ODI (One Day International) matches will be played during the series. Recently, India and Sri Lanka played a series of three test matches and the result of the series was draw (1-1). So both teams have a lots of confidence to win the Micromax triangular tournament. Last year India won the series in final match against Sri Lanka. India and New Zealand are missing premier player. Sri Lankan team has a good line up for batting and bowling and they have a benefit of home ground so Sri Lanka is a hot favorite to win the Tri series. Most of matches of Tri Series will be played at the Dambulla stadium, Dambulla. The last Asia Cup cricket tournament has been played at the same ground in last June, 2010. Third and last test match is started between Sri Lanka and India at P. Sara Oval Stadium, Colombo in Sri Lanka. Both teams are facing the injuries problems of their players. This match is a final game of the three test match series because Sri Lanka is leading the series with 1-0. If India want to save the series and the prestige, they have to win the match. The last one-and-a-half days may have made for dull cricket because of the pitch factor. But, good news for spinners because this pitch may give some bounce to the spinners. Overall, P. Indian cricket team is on tour of Sri Lanka. After the three test matches between host country Sri Lanka and India, New Zealand will join for a ODI tri-series. The second test match between India and Srilanka is going on at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. India lost the 1st test match against Srilanka at Galle in three test match series. Sri Lanka lead with 1-0 in the series. Sri Lankan spinner and one of the greatest player Muttiah Muralitharan has retired from test cricket but he has completed his target of 800 wickets in test cricket. Now Sri Lankan team will play the test match without the Murali power. The other side, Indian team have to bounce back to maintain the top position in ICC test cricket ranking. Ajantha Mendis may be dangerous for India player because he had proved a menace to Indian top batsman in the last test series. India has the best opportunity to come back in the series and Sri Lanka wants to win the game and series also. The first test match is going on between India and Sri Lanka at Galle, Sri Lanka. India has not won any test series in Sri Lanka since 1993. Indian team have a chance to win the test series because Sri Lankan off-spinner Muralitharan will retire after the first match and this factor may be help to Indian players.
Today at Galle, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. The pitch is slightly damp here in Galle becuse of overnight rains and the match also delayed the start by half an hour. This is first match of Indian captain MS Dhoni’s after her marriage with Sakshi. MS Dhone said in a press conference that we know the past has not been very good but his team will not give any chance to Murlitharan for making his 800 wickets total in his last match. After the first reserve day, 3nd match of Asia Cup 2010 will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, 2.30 pm today at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka won the 1st match of the tournament against Pakistan by 16 runs. If Sri Lankan team will win the today’s game, they will qualify for the final of Asia Cup tournaments. Sri Lanka have won 26 of their 28 games against Bangladesh.
It is expecting that murlidharan will not play today and he replaced by Suraj Randiv. Sri Lanka seems to have just one problem: Chamara Kapugedera. An average of 21.66 from 74 games reeks of under performance. This Asia Cup might be the last great chance for Kapugedera. Bangladesh was given the good start in their first match against India but after 1st power play, they didn’t taken the benefit of start. India won the last match by 6 wickets against Bangladesh.
